The software is exactly the same either way — there is no locked feature, no "pro" version and no upgrade path. A licence buys one thing only: the right to use Ontiqo at work.
Free for personal use
Use Ontiqo on as many of your own computers as you like, for your own things, with no time limit and nothing switched off. If that is you, you do not need a licence and should not buy one.
How does it tell personal from work? It doesn't — and it doesn't try. There is no nag screen, no watermark, no feature held back, and nothing that reports on you. The free program and the licensed one are the same program. A work licence is an honest arrangement: if Ontiqo is doing a job for an organisation, the organisation pays for the right to use it.
Not released yet — nothing can be bought
Ontiqo is still being tested and is not available to download today, so there is no way to buy a licence yet: the prices below are here so the terms can be read in advance. Ask to be told when it ships →
A one-time purchase. No subscription, no expiry, no renewal — the key keeps working. Activating needs an internet connection once; after that Ontiqo rechecks the licence occasionally and keeps working throughout any period it cannot reach the licensing service. No file content is sent at activation or at any recheck.
Refunds are 30 days, no questions asked. Checkout and receipts will be handled by a merchant of record, named here before any licence goes on sale. Purchase problems: open a ticket.
A licence covers use for work.
If Ontiqo is used for a business, an employer, a not-for-profit, an educational institution, or a government or public body, every computer it runs on has to be covered.
